What we do

Ideally, we prefer to design and deliver discrete workshops or events, which allows the dramatic devices we employ to be seamlessly woven into the fabric of the day. This works particularly well for face-to-face skills such as influencing, leadership and performance management, as well as change-related topics such as innovation or HR Transformation. We can also provide stand-alone dramas, rehearsed and ready to go. Here are some examples of what we can do:

  • Short plays and vignettes which capture some realistic aspect of organisational life - with perhaps a hint more drama (and a couple of decent gags) - based on scenarios (and in-jokes....) supplied by the client. These can also be supplied on video/DVD for cost-effective distribution in larger programmes.

  • Genre-based sketches to artificially emphasise an important dynamic – for example, an organisational situation involving a conflict between departments can be rewritten as a scene from a Western, to show how easy it is to fall into thinking of the protagonists as 'goodies' and 'baddies'.

  • Audience involvement: having witnessed a 'how not to do it' scenario, workshop participants get a chance to stop the action and discuss with the characters how they might change their behaviour; participants can also take part in the action to explore how they might approach the scenario in question.

  • Complex problem solving exercises in which participants find themselves interacting with characters from a story – which they can influence depending on the choices they make.

  • Sparkling prose to enliven internal documents – or provided as audio CDs for flexible communication.

  • Podcasts: we can make the driest topic entertaining – we provide a complete service from scripting to final production
