Some
of our favourite client projects:
For
the compliance
function of a global bank,
we designed a 'dealing
with difficult people' workshop to
help them resolve conflict between compliance and the business.
We wrote and performed a research-based
mini play showing
a typical challenging encounter, and invited participants to
coach the compliance character to ensure a better outcome. They
also took the role of the compliance officer and practised
influencing the banker. Skills inputs were provided en route.
An
international
construction and services company was
introducing new
corporate values based
on openness and collaboration within the business. We scripted a
series of comedy vignettes based on realistic scenarios
which
presented dilemmas where 'living the values' might get in the way
of effective business practice. Participants debated what they
might do in such a situation. These were subsequently produced
on video for
the international roll-out.
For
a global
chemicals company concerned
about its lack
of innovation,
we talked to people in the business about what prevented new
ideas being adopted. We produced a
short play showing
an individual within the company with a great idea, hampered at
every turn. Participants debated the issues, redirected the
action, and interacted with the characters to help them develop
effective practices for the future.
For
an international
confectionery manufacturer who
wanted to develop the habit of giving competency
based feedback,
we produced a
video showing a comic encounter between
two individuals in the company in which the 'official'
competency-based behaviours were misused. Participants stopped
the video whenever they spotted a behaviour on the list, and
discussed how
they might feed back its misuse.
For
a senior
team within an investment bank,
we designed a half
day problem solving exercise on the streets of London.
Participants followed the trail of a missing journalist and ended
up in encounters with a shadowy MI5 officer, the leader of a
sinister cult, and a street cleaner (he wasn't part of the
exercise, unfortunately, but so convinced were they that he was
involved they emptied his cart out on the street looking for
clues. Happily, they tidied up for him afterwards.)
For
an HR
Transformation consultancy,
we produced and hosted a series of podcasts
for
their clients which brought to life complex
aspects of HR business
partnering and shared services through comedy
sketches.
